Note: In order to view all the information specific to a step and lane, build all the tables for the package first.
From the Negotiations screen, select the Maintenance menu and then Salary Schedules.
At the Salary Schedules screen, enter the ID of the package to view in the Package ID field, or click the down-arrow button to select the correct one.
The Salary Schedule - Amounts table for the specified package will display.
Click the Edit tab; or if desired, double-click on a cell (step and lane) on the table instead to view the information specific to the particular cell and then continue with Step 7.
Enter the number of the desired step to view in the Step field, or click the down-arrow button to select the correct one.
Enter the number of the desired lane to view in the Lane field, or click the down-arrow button to select the correct one.
The information for the selected step and lane appears.
The description for the selected step appears in the Step Description field.
The description for the selected lane appears in the Lane Description field.
The contract amount or unit rate for the specified cell appears in the Salary field, depending on the type of the selected package. The amount in this field displays on the Salary Schedule - Amounts table.
The total number of FTEs calculated for the specified cell appears in the FTE field. The amount in this field displays on the FTE - Hours table.
The total number of estimated hours worked (applicable for unit employees only) calculated for the specified cell appears in the Hours field. The amount in this field displays on the FTE - Hours table.
The total amount of salaries calculated for the employees included in the specified cell appears in the Total Salaries field. The amount in this field displays on the Salary Totals table.
The total amount of benefits (amount of deductions and taxes paid by the employer) calculated for the employees included in the specified cell appears in the Total Benefits field. The amount in this field displays on the Benefit Totals table.
The percent of the base or percent of the previous step and lane appears in the Percent of Base field. The amount in this field displays on the Salary Schedule - Percents table.
If applicable, the additional dollar amount added to the salary amount for the specified cell (for example, the amount specified as the step or lane dollar increment) displays in the Additional Dollars field. The amount in this field displays on the Salary Schedule - Percents table.
If applicable, the extra dollar amount paid for each additional degree hour earned for the employees included in the specified cell appears in the Dollars Per Additional Degree Hour field. The amount in this field comes from the amount that was entered in the Dollars Per Additional Degree Hour field when building (recalculating) the Salary Totals table.
If applicable, the percentage of increase from the previous year’s wages for the employees included in the specified cell appears in the Percent Increase field. The amount in this field comes from the amount that was entered in the Percent Increase field when building (recalculating) the Salary Totals table.
If applicable, the increase in dollar amount from the previous year’s wages for the employees included in the specified cell appears in the Dollar Increase field. The amount in this field comes from the amount that was entered in the Dollar Increase field when building (recalculating) the Salary Totals table.
The Closed field stipulates if the specified cell is open or closed on the salary schedules. A checkmark appears in the box for the field if the cell is closed.
Note: If a cell (step and lane) is closed, the cell is restricted from being used on the salary schedules for the package.
The employees included in the specified cell appear in the Employees List. To view an employee's record in the Employee File, double-click on the desired employee.
Repeat Steps 5-7 to view the information in other cells (steps and lanes).
When done, click the Salary Schedules tab to view the tables.
