Lanes are used in the salary schedules in the Negotiations module to define the education (or classification) of an employee. Each school district determines if lanes are the rows or columns on the salary schedules for a package. One row or column would be equal to one lane. The requirements, such as the degree and number of credit hours or classification category, for each lane are set by each school district. Each school district determines the number of lanes included in the salary schedule.
