The Training Events option in Human Resources is used to define the information for a specific training, such as the date, time, location, presenter, status, and whether it is an internal or external training. Once a training event has been added, employees can then be tied to the training event, either from within the Training Events option or on the Trainings screen in the Employee File.
Once a training event has been completed, the status can be updated to "Held" within the Training Events option and the employees can be marked as having attended the training event. The individual expenses to attend an external training event (and the mileage, if applicable) can also be tracked for an employee, if desired.
Also, email messages can be sent for a particular training event from within the Training Events option (for example, a training date and time reminder email message can be sent to the employees enrolled in a particular upcoming training event, or a reminder email message of future training events can be sent to those employees who ended up not attending a certain training event for which they had been enrolled).
