Copying a Training Event

  1. From the Human Resources screen, select the Options menu and then Training Events.

  2. Select the Options menu and then Copy Training Event.

  1. At the Copy Training Event screen, enter the ID of the training for the training event to copy in the Training ID field.  If the ID is not known, click the down-arrow button to select the correct one, or press the Ctrl+F keys to access the search feature.

Note:  Click the Find button to select the correct training, training event description, and/or training event key to copy; then continue with Step 6.

  1. Enter the description of the training event to copy in the Old Training Event Description field.

  1. Enter the number of the training event key to copy in the Old Training Event Key field.  If the training event key is not known, click the Find button to select the correct one.

  2. Enter the description to use for the training event that will be added in the New Training Event Description field.  The description can be up to 40 characters in length.  The description from the training event being copied will appear by default but can be changed.

  3. If desired, select the Include Event Roster field to copy all the employees that were tied to the old training event to the Event Roster of the new training event.  A checkmark will appear in the box if the field is selected.

Note:  If this field is selected, only the employees are copied to the new training event (the information from the old training event in the Training Event Attended, Expense, Mileage, and Comments fields is not copied).

  1. Click the Execute button.

  2. The newly created (copied) training event will appear on the Training Events screen; complete the Training Event Start/End Date and Time fields, make changes if needed, and then click the Save button.
