Note: The instructions below are for changing an individual user within the User Security option; if needed, use the View/Adjust Users option to change a group of users all at once. Only supervisors and Web Link administrators can access the User Security option, and a Web Link administrator can only change the rights for a user that apply to the Web Link module.
From the School Accounting System screen, click the User Controls button and then select User Security.
At the User Security screen, enter the ID of the user to change in the User ID field. If the ID is not known, click the down-arrow button or the Find button to select the correct one.
Make the desired changes to the user's security settings.
Note: A Web Link administrator cannot inactivate a user defined as a supervisor or database administrator.
Tip: To reset the password for a user, complete the Reset User Password option.
Steps for Supervisors or Web Link Administrators to Reset User Password
After all the changes have been made, click the Save button.
If the User ID was changed, a prompt will appear verifying whether or not to change the ID or add a new one. To change the ID for the user, click the Change button. To not change the ID and revert to use the original ID, click the Revert to Original button. To add a new user with the specified ID that is a duplicate of the current user, click the Create New button.
