Reset User Password

The Reset User Password option is available for a supervisor or Web Link administrator to change (reset) a user's password to log into the School Accounting System (and the Web Link module, if applicable).  With the Reset User Password option, the supervisor or Web Link administrator does not need to know the old (existing) password for the user.  

Passwords can be changed at any time and should be changed on a regular basis.  Passwords, which are case sensitive, can be alphanumeric and up to 20 characters long (cannot be blank).  If desired, the system can be set up to require passwords to be changed after a certain number of days and the complexity of the passwords can be defined on the Password Policy screen in the System File.  

Note:  Users can change their own password by utilizing the Change Password option, but they must know the old (existing) password in order to do so.
