General Ledger

General Ledger is one of the three basic modules of the School Accounting System.  The General Ledger module ties the data together from the Accounts Payable and Payroll modules in order to generate reports with up-to-date financial information.  Reports can be generated to print the detail or summary information and include current and/or historical data.  At the end of the fiscal year, the annual report for your state can be generated and a file created (if applicable), and the GASB 34 reports can be prepared, if pertinent in your state.

Within the General Ledger module, the account structure is defined and the account numbers are created within the Chart of Accounts to meet your state’s school financial accounting standards.  Cash receipts and manual journal entries can also be entered and the check reconciliation completed.
