The Adjust Accumulated Depreciation option is used to change the values in the Depreciation Accumulated field for assets currently tracked in the Asset File Maintenance option in the Fixed Asset Inventory module. Once the batch of accumulated depreciation adjustments is posted, the changes are reflected in the Asset File Maintenance option, and the necessary entries are posted to General Ledger (from the Fixed Asset Journal) to record the changes to the accumulated depreciation, if applicable.
