Fixed Asset Inventory, which is an add-on module of the School Accounting System, tracks assets within the school district, including the location, classification, acquisition, depreciation, and disposal information for each asset. Custom fields can also be defined within the Fixed Asset Inventory module to record supplementary information for the assets.
With the Fixed Asset Inventory module, the various processes to depreciate, dispose, calculate replacement costs, and utilize a scanner or Web Link for yearly inventories can be completed. If desired, the Fixed Asset Inventory module is able to integrate with Accounts Payable in order to post new assets during invoice entry (assets are held in a pending file until added within the Fixed Asset Inventory module), and also integrate with General Ledger, if applicable, in order to track fixed assets in a Fixed Asset Fund and record the appropriate entries for adding, depreciating, and disposing fixed assets.
