Note: The following instructions are for changing the screen preferences for custom fields. If the order of a custom field is changed, the changes will be reflected for all records in the particular file for all users.
Access the module for the custom fields for which to set the screen preferences--Accounts Payable, Fixed Asset Inventory, Human Resources, or Payroll.
Select the Maintenance menu and then Custom Fields.
At the Custom Fields screen, select the tab for the type of custom fields for which to set the screen preferences, if applicable.
Select the Options menu and then Set Screen Preferences.
To change the order of the custom fields, click once on the field to move and then click the Top, Up, Down, or Bottom button until the field is in the desired position.
After setting the desired screen preferences, click the Save button.
The Set Screen Preferences screen will close and the new settings will take effect the next time the applicable screen(s) is refreshed.
