to Transfer from Nebraska Staff ReportingThe Transfer from Nebraska Staff Reporting option is accessed from within the Nebraska SPEDFRS option in Payroll, which is available for Nebraska organizations only. The Transfer from Nebraska Staff Reporting option is used to populate the assignment records on the Employee Maintenance tab within the Nebraska SPEDFRS option from the information entered in the Nebraska Staff Reporting option.
When the Transfer from Nebraska Staff Reporting option is completed, the information previously listed on the Employee Maintenance tab within the Nebraska SPEDFRS option is deleted, and the information from the Nebraska Staff Reporting option for employees with an assignment code starting with a 7, I, or S is copied into the Employee Maintenance tab within the Nebraska SPEDFRS option. During the transfer, the assignment code as entered in the Nebraska Staff Reporting option is split out into two separate fields for the SPI code and position assignment code within the Nebraska SPEDFRS option. Also during the transfer, the Staff Type field will reflect the code as entered in the Staff Type custom field in the Employee File (if applicable), and the Supervision field defaults to 2 for Non-Supervisory. Then the remaining fields on the transferred records can be manually completed on the Employee Maintenance tab in the Nebraska SPEDFRS option, and any changes or additions can be made as needed.
Note: After completing the Transfer from Nebraska Staff Reporting option, the fields of information that would need to be completed for the transferred records include the FTE field, the License Number field (only applicable if required for the employee), and the Staff Type field (only applicable for employees with multiple assignment records and more than one staff type code; otherwise, if the Staff Type field on the Employee Maintenance tab is left blank, when the Nebraska SPEDFRS option is generated, the Staff Type will use the staff type code as entered in the Staff Type custom field in the Employee File or else the default staff type code specified when generating).
