Note: The instructions below are for deleting an endorsement type and all the endorsements included in the endorsement type. To delete just one endorsement from a particular endorsement type, follow the instructions for changing an endorsement.
Steps to Change an Endorsement
From the Human Resources screen, select the Maintenance menu, Certificates, and then Endorsements.
At the Endorsements screen, enter the ID of the endorsement type to delete in the Endorsement Type ID field. If the ID is not known, click the down-arrow button or the Find button to select the correct one.
Once the endorsement type to delete is displayed on the screen, click the Delete button located at the bottom of the screen; when prompted to delete the record, click Yes.
Note: If an endorsement within the specified endorsement type is being used on the Certificates screen of the Employee File, the system will not allow it to be deleted and all the endorsements, along with the endorsement type, will remain in the data file and be displayed on the screen. However, the endorsement type (and all the endorsements within the type, if desired) can be made inactive by removing the checkmark for the Active field (located to the right of the Endorsement Type ID field).
