From the General Ledger screen, select the Options menu and then Cash Receipt Inquiry.
Note: The Cash Receipt Inquiry option can also be accessed from the Options menu within the Received Froms and Cash Receipts options.
At the Cash Receipt Inquiry screen, complete the fields as desired for which cash receipts to view.
To view cash receipts for a specific received from, enter the ID for the received from for which to complete the inquiry in the Received From ID field. If the ID is not known, click the down-arrow button to select the correct one.
To view cash receipts with a specific cash receipt number, enter the number in the Cash Receipt Number field. If the cash receipt number is not known, click the Search button to select the desired one.
Note: This field is disabled if the Blank Cash Receipt Numbers Only field is selected.
To only view cash receipts that do not have an assigned cash receipt number, select the Blank Cash Receipt Numbers Only field. A checkmark will appear in the box if the field is selected.
To view cash receipts with a specific cash receipt key, enter the number in the Cash Receipt Key field. If the cash receipt key is not known, click the Search button to select the desired one.
If desired, to view only cash receipts with particular dates, enter the range of dates in the From and To fields for Cash Receipt Date. Use the mm/dd/yyyy format or click the down-arrow button to select the desired date.
Tip: Leave all the fields blank to display all cash receipts.
Click the Display button.
The cash receipts matching the specified criteria appear.
Note: If there are no cash receipts to display based on the specified criteria, a message will appear stating there is no data to display; click OK and then edit the criteria as needed.
Tip: The order of the columns on the Cash Receipt Inquiry screen can be changed by clicking on the column heading and dragging the column to the desired location. To change the order of the columns, or hide columns, so that the settings are retained for the next time the Cash Receipt Inquiry option is accessed, use the Set Screen Preferences option. If the screen preferences are changed, the default screen preferences can be restored, if desired.

To view the detail information for a particular cash receipt or cash receipt line item, double-click the desired line for the cash receipt. When finished, click the Cancel button to display only the information on the left side of the screen.
Note: If viewing the detail information for a cash receipt that has a received from, click the Go To button located to the right of the Received From ID field to open the specified received from's record in the Received From File. If desired, click the To Screen button located to the right of the Cash Receipt Number field to preview or reprint a copy of the receipt using the report entered in the Default Cash Receipt Report field in the General Ledger System File. If viewing the detail information for a cash receipt that contained receivable entries that were created using the Select Receivables for Processing option, click the Go To button located to the right of the Receivable Cash Receipt Key field to view the original cash receipt from which the receivable entries were processed.
If desired, to print the information for the cash receipt inquiry, complete a print screen, print grid, or print a Cash Receipt Listing from the Reports menu.
