From the General Ledger screen, select the Maintenance menu and then Account Groups.
At the Account Groups screen, enter the ID of the account group to change in the Account Group ID field. If the ID is not known, click the down-arrow button or the Find button to select the correct one.
Make the desired changes to the account group.
If the Use Masks for Account Groups field is not selected for the account group, to add an account number to the account group, click the box for the Selected column to the left of the desired account number. A checkmark will appear in the box if the account number is selected. To select all the account numbers listed on the screen, click the Select All button located above the Chart of Account Numbers List. If desired, change the filters to modify the account numbers displayed here.
If the Use Masks for Account Groups field is not selected for the account group, to remove an account number from the account group, click the box for the Selected column to the left of the desired account number to remove the checkmark. To unselect all the account numbers listed on the screen, click the Unselect All button located above the Chart of Account Numbers List. If desired, change the filters to modify the account numbers displayed here.
If the Use Masks for Account Groups field is selected for the account group, to add a mask to the account group, complete the blank line (indicated with an asterisk) at the bottom of the Mask Options List.
If the Use Masks for Account Groups field is selected for the account group, to remove a mask from the account group, click the Delete button located to the left of the desired mask; when prompted to delete the line, click Yes.
After all the changes have been made, click the Save button.
If the ID for the account group was changed, a prompt will appear verifying whether or not to change the ID or add a new one. To change the ID for the account group, click the Change button. To not change the ID and revert to use the original ID, click the Revert to Original button. To add a new account group with the specified ID that is a duplicate of the current account group, click the Create New button.
