Sales Tax

The Sales Tax option in General Ledger is only available for Kansas organizations, and is used to define the various sales taxes and rates in order to calculate sales tax for Activity Funds when entering cash receipts in General Ledger (and Web Link, if applicable).  Examples of sales taxes used in Kansas include a normal sales tax and a qualified food sales tax.  A sales tax can be set up with multiple rates, if the sales tax amounts should be broken down by state and local tax rates (for example, a total tax rate of 6% can be broken down as 4% for state taxes and 2% for local taxes).

Note:  There must be at least one sales tax defined.
