Completing the Custom Fields Screen in the Employee File

  1. From within the Employee File, click the Custom Fields tab.

Tip:  The different sections of the custom field types can be moved around the screen as desired.  To move a section, click on the handle (line of dots to the left of the section name) and then drag the section to the desired location.  The settings for the section location are saved by user.

  1. If applicable, complete the custom fields in the Date Fields section.  Use the mm/dd/yyyy format or click the down-arrow button to select the desired date.

  2. If applicable, complete the custom fields in the Numeric Fields section.  The amounts entered in the numeric custom fields can be up to 14 digits long (including the decimal point) and will be rounded to 4 decimal places by the system.

  3. If applicable, complete the custom fields in the Referenced Fields section.  For the referenced custom fields, enter the ID of the applicable value in the field; or if the ID is not known, click the down-arrow button to select the correct one, or press the Ctrl+F keys to access the search feature.

  4. If applicable, complete the custom fields in the Text Fields section.  The data entered into the text custom fields can be alphanumeric and up to 50 characters long.

  5. Click the Save button.

  6. Continue adding the remaining information for the employee if needed.
