From the Human Resources screen, select the Maintenance menu, Trainings, and then Trainings.
At the Trainings screen, click the New Record button.
Note: For any field equipped with the repeat function, click the Repeat button or press the Ctrl+R keys to repeat the previous entry for the specified field. The repeat function is only available after your initial entry.
Enter a unique ID for the training type for which the training will be included in the Training Type ID field. The ID can be alphanumeric and up to 10 characters long (no spaces). If adding a new training for an existing training type and the ID is not known, click the down-arrow button or the Find button to select the correct one.
Note: If adding a new training type, to have the system automatically assign the ID using the first 10 characters (letters and numbers only) of the description, leave the ID field blank; once the record is saved, the ID will be assigned.
If adding a new training type, enter the description for the new training type in the Training Type Description field. The description can be up to 40 characters long. If adding a new training for an existing training type, the description for the specified training type will appear in the Training Type Description field.
To add a training to the specified training type, complete the following:
In the blank line (indicated with an asterisk) at the bottom of the Trainings List, enter the ID of the new training in the Training ID field. The ID can be alphanumeric and up to 10 characters long (no spaces).
Note: To have the system automatically assign the ID using the first 10 characters (letters and numbers only) of the description, leave the ID field blank; once the record is saved, the ID will be assigned. The Training ID must be unique and cannot be used more than once or with multiple training types.
Enter the description for the new training in the Training Description field. The description can be up to 40 characters long.
Enter the level of the training in relation to the other trainings of the same nature (for example, if there are "basic" and "advanced" trainings for a particular workshop, or "Part I" and "Part II", etc.) in the Training Level field, if applicable. The description for the level can be up to 50 characters long.
If applicable, repeat these steps until all the trainings have been added for the specified training type.
Click the Save button.
