Deleting an Asset within Asset File Maintenance

Note:  The instructions below are for deleting an asset from within the Asset File Maintenance option; an asset can only be deleted if it meets the following criteria:  does not have any calculations (amounts) for the Replacement Cost, Depreciation, or Depreciation Accumulated fields; does not have any entries posted to General Ledger (from adding, depreciating, or disposing the asset); and does not have any of the custom fields completed, if applicable.  If needed, complete the Process Asset Disposal option instead to dispose the asset.

Steps to Process Asset Disposal

Note:  For organizations with K12Docs, the folder for the asset, along with all the documents within the folder, are also deleted from K12Docs at this time.
