The list of options (items) found under the Common Tasks section on the main School Accounting System screen and each module's main screen can be edited as follows:
To add an option (item) to the Common Tasks section, access the desired option to be added; once the screen for the option is displayed, select the Pin To menu and then the Common Tasks screen for which to add the item. For example, to have the Purchase Orders option appear under the Common Tasks section on the Accounts Payable screen, go into a batch of purchase orders, select the Pin To menu, and then select Accounts Payable Common Tasks; or to have the Deductions option appear under the Common Tasks section on the main School Accounting System screen, access the Deductions option, select the Pin To menu, and then Main Screen Common Tasks. A checkmark will appear before the Common Tasks screen under the Pin To menu once it has been selected for an option.
Tip: An option (item) can be added to the Common Tasks section on multiple screens, if desired. The Common Tasks section on each applicable screen (per user) can display a maximum of ten options (items).
Note: The options which are accessed under a submenu (are not directly accessed from a menu on one of the main screens in the School Accounting System) cannot be pinned as a Common Task.
To remove an option (item) from the Common Tasks section, access the desired option to be removed; once the screen for the option is displayed, select the Pin To menu and then the Common Tasks screen from which to remove the item. For example, to remove the Purchase Orders option from the Common Tasks section on the Accounts Payable screen, go into a batch of purchase orders, select the Pin To menu, and then select Accounts Payable Common Tasks. A checkmark will no longer appear before the Common Tasks screen under the Pin To menu once it has been removed for an option.
If the Common Tasks section already has ten options (items) displayed for the user, the next time an option is selected to be added to the particular screen, a message will appear stating the section is limited to ten options. Click OK to edit the list of options included in the Common Tasks section; otherwise, click Cancel to not add the option to the particular screen. If OK is selected, the screen for the applicable Common Tasks appears showing all the options currently displayed (indicated with a checkmark under the Selected column); edit the list so that there are only ten options selected, and then click the Save button.
