The Edit Leave Request Substitutes option allows designated users to enter substitutes for leave requests. Within the Edit Leave Request Substitutes option, substitutes can only be entered for leave requests that have been submitted, are pending or fully approved, and have not yet been brought into a batch of Employee Absences or Pay Period Entries in Payroll in the School Accounting System.
The system can be set up (in the Email Manager in the School Accounting System) to send notification emails to users who enter substitutes for leave requests (emails are sent once leave requests have received final approval).
Tip: Substitutes can also be tied to leave requests from within the Leave Request Approvals option, if desired.
Note: In order for the Edit Leave Request Substitutes option to be available in Web Link, a user must be defined with rights to edit substitutes (within the User Security option in the School Accounting System), and also must be defined as an approver or set up as a user to edit substitutes for an approval path in the School Accounting System.
