Steps to Reindex DatabaseThe Reindex Database function reindexes (reorganizes) and compacts the tables in the database to help improve performance, such as increasing the speed of data retrieval operations in the program. The Reindex Database function is automatically completed when installing an update, and otherwise typically only needs to be completed for a database if an alert appears on the main School Accounting System screen (only appears for those users defined as a supervisor or a database administrator). The Reindex Database function is available from within the Database Utilities option for those users defined as a supervisor or a database administrator.
