Select the Data Entry menu and then Cash Receipts.
The Cash Receipts Batch Search screen will appear.
Select the batch which contains the cash receipt to correct by double-clicking on the batch description or clicking on the batch once and then clicking the Select button.
The Cash Receipts screen will appear for the selected cash receipt batch.
Select the cash receipt to edit by clicking the Find button for the Cash Receipt Number field, changing the filters if needed, clicking once on the desired cash receipt, and then clicking the Select button.
Make the desired changes to the cash receipt.
To edit an existing line item on the cash receipt, make the desired changes to the line.
To enter an additional line item on the cash receipt, click the Add Rows button located at the top of the Detail Information List to add another line, and then complete the necessary information for the line item.
To delete a line item from the cash receipt, click the Delete link located to the right of the desired line; when prompted to delete the line item, click OK.
If the total amount of the cash receipt changed but the Cash Receipt Amount field was not updated (and the Automatically Calculate Totals on Cash Receipt Entry field in the General Ledger System File is not selected), click the Calculate button for the Cash Receipt Amount field at this time to have the system automatically add up the total of all the detail line items and display the updated total.
If the data in the Received From ID field or the Cash Receipt Amount field was changed, and the received from is defined with default account numbers with distribution percentages, a prompt appears asking to delete all the detail lines and re-add them based on the designated distribution percentages; click OK to have the system re-do the detail lines with the correct amounts calculated in the Amount field as based on the distribution percentages, or click Cancel to not re-do the detail lines and manually change the Amount field for the lines as needed.
After all the changes have been made, click the Save button.
A message will appear stating the cash receipt was saved; click OK.
